We have a strong belief that education is the key to creating a better tomorrow. Therefore, The Femi Akinkugbe Foundation’s (FAF) flagship initiative is the Empowerment Program, which aims to provide primary, secondary, and university education to disadvantaged children, particularly girls from low-income areas. We believe that every child deserves to receive an education, regardless of their socio-economic background. By providing quality education to these children, we are breaking the cycle of poverty and helping to create a more equitable society.
In addition, we have a maternal and child health program that is working to improve the health outcomes of women and children. We recognize that the health of a child is inextricably linked to the health of their mothers, which is why our program prioritizes the provision of access to healthcare services and education for new mothers, pregnant women, and infants.
The foundation also has a vocational training program designed to equip individuals with marketable skills, which can help lift them out of poverty. This program offers training in tailoring, catering, hairdressing, and basic computer skills, among others. By providing vocational training, these individuals can gain skills, experience, and confidence, leading to improved livelihoods and better economic prospects.
